How our full-day tours work.
Our Full Day Experiences last five to seven hours – twelve when we collect you from the cruise port at Warnemünde – and travel by private van with a driver, for up to 6 people. The van is what makes the day possible: it reaches royal Potsdam, the Sachsenhausen and Ravensbrück memorials, the battlefields of 1945 and the Baltic coast, and saves your energy for the sites rather than the distances between them.
Each day has its own theme – Berlin's whole history in one day, the Third Reich, East Germany and the Stasi, the Battle of Berlin, Potsdam and the Kingdom of Prussia, the concentration camp memorials at Sachsenhausen and Ravensbrück, and, for cruise passengers, the highlights of the city in a single port call on our Warnemünde-Berlin Shore Excursion. They suit travellers who want to understand Berlin rather than simply see it, and families and small groups who want a whole day planned around them.
Every full-day tour can start and finish at your hotel or apartment, and we recommend a 10am start, with a break for coffee or lunch around 12:30pm. The Shore Excursion is the exception: it starts and ends at the cruise terminal in Warnemünde, at times set by your ship’s docking. Prices run from €975 to €2,000 per group, VAT included. Extra hours and a wheelchair-accessible van can be added to every full-day tour except the Shore Excursion, and most can be booked with a minibus or coach for bigger groups. Two or three days together make one of our Multiday Experiences, with 5% off each tour.
